Tour Package itinerary

Day 01: Drive from Malang or Surabaya to Ijen crater area 

  • This trip will be begun around at 16:00 – 18:00 pm either from Malang or Surabaya and then drive for about 8-9 hours by a private car which is completed with air conditioned. On this route we will escort you to reach to parking area which is located on the slope of Ijen Crater by passing the small cities, rice fields, plantations and beaches. 

  • During this trip, you can may ask the driver to stop on the way for getting the public toilet or stop at local restaurant for having meals, coffee or tea. After the driving for about 8-9 hours, we will arrive at the parking area in Ijen Crater is well known as the ground camping of Ijen Crater or post climbing of Paltuding. 

Day 02: Blue Fire Tours at Ijen crater and drive to Sukamade beach (L, D) 

  • Around at 01:00 or 02:00 am (midnight time), we will arrive in the parking area in Ijen Crater which is well known as post 1 Paltuding or as starting point for Ijen Crater Trekking and from this place, we will do climbing Mount Ijen Crater for about 1.5 – 2 hours to reach peak of  Mount Ijen. If the weather is good enough, you will see Milky Way on the top of Mount Ijen. From the top of Mount Ijen, you are required to descend to reach area of Crater to see Blue Fire or Blue Flame at Ijen Crater and you will be accompanied by our staff + mining worker who are expert with the paths on the Ijen Crater.

  • The blue fire in Ijen Crater is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit) and the flames can be up to 5 meters (16 feet) high; some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. It is the largest blue flame area in the world and local people refer to it as “Blue Fire”

  • After enjoy spectacular view of Blue Fire in Ijen Crater, we will ascend back to the top of Ijen Crater to see sunrise, and afterward you will see also green lake of sulfur & the mining worker activities.  Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters and enjoy best panorama of the lake of sulfate where reflects spectacular view in the surrounding walls to give the impression like the super amazing view. The sulfur mining worker go down into the crater and climb back up by passing dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is really a dangerous & hard job. Here also, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ijen crater as one of God’s amazing creation. 

  • Do not forget to take pictures in this area as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth. After enjoyed the natural scenery at crater of Ijen and then you will descend the slope of Mount Ijen until vehicles parking area where our vehicle is waiting to escort you to continue our tour program / our trip to reach to the village which is located nearest to Sukamade beach for about 2-3 hours (it depends on the traffic situation) and this village is called with Pesanggaran

  • And then from this village we will continue our trip to reach the Sukamade turtle reserve which is located in the Meru Betiri National Park for about 1-1.5 hours driving by crossing plantations, rain forest and the rivers. Lunch will be served at local restaurant which is located on the bank of road to Sukamade. On this day, you will overnight stay and enjoy dinner at the guesthouse of Sukamade beach area and return to the beach at night for turtle spotting

  • Sukamade Turtle Beach: Sukamade beach is about 97 km to southwest of Banyuwangi. This place is one nature reserve with quiet surrounding. Dutch has discovered it in 1927. The 1200 hectare estate is an active plantation that produces rubber, coffee and cacao. Sukamade is a Natural Resource Conservation which is in charge of the turtle’s perpetuation in East Java. A night adventure tour to Sukamade is an unforgettable trip. You will be guided by a ranger and our tour guide to find sea turtles which will come to a shore to lay eggs. If you are lucky enough, you will see a female turtle lays more than one hundred eggs on the sandy beach. The female turtles usually start landing at 7:30 PM and return to the sea at 12:00 PM.

  • How can you reach the turtle beach of Sukamade: We will use jeep (4WD vehicle) to reach this place & the road to Sukamade is worth for the people who want to get the real of adventure trip. It is one of the best adventure trail in Java Island for exploring southern coast of Banyuwangi. Crossing the rivers, exploring rural landscapes,  passing rainforest & along the way to visit this place the visitors can stop at the beautiful place as known as Rajegwesi & the green bay (Teluk Hijau) with its beautiful cliff around. Here, also you will have a chance for short excursion in afternoon time to see animals on the savanna with extra cost for a ranger (it is as optional program). The turtle beach of Sukamade is one of the long beach with white sandy which is bordered by virgin forest with natural view which is located on the southern tip of Banyuwangi, East Java - Indonesia.

  • Accommodation in Sukamade: The condition here is very quiet, the facility is very simple and the electricity will be turned on at 17 pm and will turned off at 05 am, but more often for the people who visited this place will recommend to others to visit this place / Sukamade beach, and sometime they intend to come again to get an experience exceedingly unique & rare on their life. On this day, you will stay overnight and having dinner at the lodge or guesthouse of Sukamade 

Day 03: Sukamade turtle beach and drive to Hotel in Bromo (B)

  • After breakfast in Sukamade turtle beach area then spend the morning for exploring the surroundings of Sukamade. This is an area of virtually void of people. Go and a dip in crystal clear waters nearby river. Afterward, we leave this area in the early noon to continue our trip to your hotel in Bromo area for about 8-9 hours driving. On this way, you will pass rural landscape, plantations, small cities & rice fields. Upon arrival in Bromo area, you will overnight stay at Hotel in Bromo before you enjoy Bromo Sunrise Tours in the next morning.

Day 04: Sunrise view and Bromo Tours,- drive to Surabaya or Malang (B)

  • Wake in the early morning (around in the dawn time around at 03:30 am) and we will use a jeep which will be ready in the front of your hotel to start your trip to enjoy for Bromo sunrise tour which is located on the tengger region as known as a view point to see sunrise with its young volcanic including Mount Bromo and an active Mount Semeru as background. If it is not foggy, the sunlight when the sunrise will play light shadow which it come up from the sidelines of the mountains and it will give impression like unforgettable thing on mind and heart as a creation from the God. You can choose one of the places to see sunrise in Mount Bromo area such as:

  • Mount Panajakan or Gunung Penanjakan is known well as the best place for view point of Bromo Sunrise in Tengger region. Mt Penanjakan is a major viewing point for all tourists who visited Mount Bromo to enjoy sunrise tours Bromo. It means this place will be crowded on the season of holiday or on the weekend  

  • Kingkong hill or Bukit Kingkong: If you visit to Mount Bromo, on weekends, or holidays, so at Bromo very crowded with visitors. I suggest you go to the other viewpoint (king kong hill) is a good place to see the sunrise time and Bromo crater, on the an altitude of about 2600 meters

  • Love hill of Bromo or Bukit Cinta Bromo: is an alternative place to see the stunning beauty for sunrise time on the Mount Bromo. Just like King Kong hill, the spot of love hill is also less well-known than the main spot named "the view point 1" or Mount Penanjakan (the 1st summit climbing), where the most clear view of the sunrise on Mount Bromo can be seen from this spot. However, if you got that Mount Penanjakan is too crowded of other tourists, you can choose Love Hill as a good alternative besides King Kong hill

  • After a short break and take pictures, our jeep will bring us to continue our trip to reach the parking area for 4WD vehicle (jeep) by passing the amazing view on the slope of Mount Bromo, then from parking area you are required to cross the seas of sand on the slope of Mount Bromo by horse riding or on foot (it is optional) till reach to the stairs up (more than 250 stairs) on the bottom of Mount Bromo which it will lead you to reach to the peak of Mount Bromo.

  • Afterward, the jeep will bring us to continue our tour to reach the parking area which is located on the bottom of Mt. Bromo by passing the amazing view, such as:  seas sand which is bordered by Mountains in Tengger area, then from parking area for the jeep,  you are required to cross seas sand of Mt. Bromo by horse riding or on foot (it is optional) till reach the starting point to trek up of Mt Bromo by following more than 250 stairs which it will lead you to reach peak of Mt Bromo.

  • After enjoy nice view in Mt. Bromo and around at 08:00, the 4WD vehicle (jeep) will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, packing, loading bags into our van then transfer out to Malang or Surabaya. We will leave Mount Bromo around at 09:00 or 10:00 to Surabaya or Malang and it will take about 3-4 hours driving and the tour package for Ijen blue fire to Sukamade beach and Bromo Sunrise Tours has finished
