On your arrival time at Juanda Airport Surabaya (the best time to start this trip is before at 11 AM), our staff will meet you on the exit gate of Surabaya airport by your name on placard. Stop by at The House of Sampoerna, situated in "old Surabaya", this stately Dutch Colonial style building was built in 1962 and now preserved as a historical site. Behind the building is clove cigarette factory where you can witness hundreds of worker girls hand-rolling "kretek" at incredible speed. 

 

Afterward, around in the late afternoon or in the evening time, we will escort you to the hotel in Surabaya area for having dinner & overnight stay, before we continue our trip for sunrise bromo tours

 

Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Surabaya at night time/ around at 24:00 PM (in the midnight time at 00:00 am) and then we will drive slowly to reach parking area in Mount Bromo with an AC vehicle tourist standard for about 3-4 hours driving. On this trip you can stop on the way for having meals, coffee or tea at local restaurant or you can stop on the way to go to public toilet.

 

Around at 03:30 am (at dawn time), we will use the 4WD (JEEP) which we will find it at parking area in Mount Bromo and we will bring you to Mount Pananjakan or Kingkong Hill on the rim of the Tengger caldera as known as view point to see sunrise with its young volcanic including Mount Bromo and an active Mount Semeru as background. If it is not foggy, the sunlight when the sunrise will play light shadow which it come up from the sidelines of the mountains and it will give impression like unforgettable thing on mind & heart as a creation from the God

 

Afterward, our jeep will bring us to continue our trip to reach the parking area of 4WD vehicle (jeep) by passing the amazing view on the slope of Mt. Bromo, then from parking area you are required to cross the seas of sand on the slope of Mount Bromo by horse riding or on foot (it is optional) till reach the stairs up (more than 250 stairs) at the slope of Mount Bromo which it will lead you to reach peak of Mount Bromo.

 

Afterward, our jeep will bring us to continue our trip to reach the parking area of 4WD vehicle (jeep) by passing the amazing view on the slope of Mt. Bromo, then from parking area you are required to cross seas sand on the slope of Mount Bromo by horse riding or on foot (it is optional) till reach the stairs up (more than 250 stairs) at the slope of Mount Bromo which it will lead you to reach peak of Mt Bromo. After a short break & take pictures, we will go to hotel or restaurant in area of Mount Bromo for having breakfast & afterward, we will leave Mount Bromo to escort you to Malang for about 3-4 hours driving to reach your Hotel in Malang area for overnight stay

 

Optional program for Bromo Milky Way Tours: If the weather is good enough, you will have a chance to do optional tour program for Bromo Milky Way Tours in Mount Bromo area. This trip will be begun around at 21:00 - 22:00 pm from your hotel in Surabaya) and from parking area in Mount Bromo, we will use 4WD vehicle or jeep to reach the place which is best point to see Milky Way in Bromo area. 

 

If you want to photograph the Milky Way, the first thing you’ll need to know is how to find it. In this article & in order you can find the Milky Way’s galactic plane and more specifically with the bright galactic center, you are required to use either Smartphone apps or by memorizing important constellations. So, with this way, hoping you’ll be able to find the Milky Way with or without the use of technology. The Milky Way moves across the sky throughout the course of the night and the position of the Milky Way will differ depending on the time of year. 

 

The best times to observe the bright galactic center of the Milky Way, in Mount Bromo area, tends to be from about mid-March through mid-October, the “Milky Way Season”. Technically, you can see some part of the Milky Way at any time of the year, but when shooting in the time period from September through April, you’ll be limited to the dimmer parts of the night sky as the Sun obscures the center of bright galactic.

After having breakfast at hotel & around at 08:30AM, we will escort you to Kampung 3D (Jodipan Village or Kampung Warna Warni). This kampung or village is also known as Kampung Warna Warni Jodipan. Just like its name, it’s literally warna-warni or colorful. A house in that kampung has at least three different colors painted on its walls and roof. If you happen to see the photo of this kampung, you might think that it’s not in Indonesia. Kampung Jodipan was actually a slum area that is located on the riverbank of Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Brantas. 

 

It was even one of the 11 most rundown villages in Indonesia. It all changed when a group of Public Relations students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) had a task for PR and Event Management subject. They tried to propose the initiative to a paint company to work on the project together. It turned out that the company was also going to make a CSR program, and they collaborated to make the slum at Jodipan colorful.

 

After visiting Kampung 3D, we will continue our trip in Malang to visit Musuem Angkut in Batu Highland area which is located in Batu, and there we could have some lunch as well as there are many food stalls in that area. The Museum Angkut, if you even can call it a museum, consists of several large rooms filled with random vehicles of transportation that range from old cars, to classic motorbikes, planes, and miniature ships. In my mind they seemed to have just been randomly placed around the various rooms and did not offer anything interesting to me. 

 

There was no narrative to the pieces on display and they lacked context to the exhibition. Also, to me the cars and motorbikes were not very special either. The main hall is filled with cars and other vehicle, the second floor has a observational platform with a fake space shuttle rocket thingy from which you have a pretty nice view of the area. Then there are several rooms explaining engines (complete with a terrible looking dummy representing Albert Einstein), various replicas of ships, and bicycles.

 

After enjoy your tour activities in Museum Angkut and around in the afternoon, we will continue our trip to escort you back to Surabaya for about 3-5 hours driving (it is depend on the traffic situation) and then East Java Tour Package finished.
