Bali to Ijen & Sukamade - Bromo 5D

Your itinerary:
Day 01: Bali Island to accommodation in Ijen crater area

Our staff will pick you up either at the airport or your hotel in Bali (please let us know detail either your flight number or your hotel in Bali) and we will start your trip to reach to the Gilimanuk ferry port in the most western tip of Bali for about 3 – 5 hours driving (it is depend on the situation of traffic) with a private car which is completed with airconditioned, and on arrival time in Gilimanuk ferry port, we will proceed to take a ferry to cross Bali strait for about 1 – 1.5 hours to reach Ketapang ferry port in Banyuwangi which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island. The trip from your place in Bali to Gilimanuk ferry port will go through the small cities, plantations, ricefield, beaches & rural landscapes of West Bali. After crossing Bali strait and on your arrival time in Ketapang ferry port – Banyuwangi, we will escort you directly to your accommodation or hotel in Ijen crater area or if you still enough time with good weather before we reach to the your hotel or accommodation in Ijen crater area, you will have a chance to do one of optional tour programs in Banyuwangi (the exploring tour Banyuwangi) with extra cost  and then on this day, you will overnight stay at hotel or accommodation in Ijen crater area before you enjoy for Mount Ijen trekking with possibility you can do the Ijen blue fire tours as well which will be started at midnight time. 

Note: Today, if you still have enough time with good weather during your trip from Bali, you may stop at Labuhan Lalang traditional harbor which is located in the area of West Bali National Park for crossing Bali strait by using a traditional wooden boat which is completed with engine to reach the Java Island and enjoy optional tour program for snorkeling tour activities in Menjangan Island, Tabuhan Island, Bangsring under water and then to Grand Watudodol beach Banyuwangi which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island. After, enjoy snorkeling tour activities, we will continue to drive with a private car to reach your accommodation in Ijen crater area - Banyuwangi for overnight stay. Day 02: Mount Ijen climbing with Ijen blue fire tours to Sukamade beach (B, L,D)

Wake up in the dawn time (around at 04:00 am) and then you will meet with our staff at the lobby of your hotel to drive to reach to the Paltuding by passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining rain forest in Java Island with giant ferns, plants & big trees. This journey takes approximately 1 hour from your hotel by private car. Paltuding is well known as post 1 (base camp) or starting point for Ijen expedition tour and climbing or trekking tour activities to the slope of Mount Ijen. Arrive in the parking in Paltuding which is located on the slope Mount Ijen, approximately 1 until 1.5 - 2 hours will be required to ascend slope of mount Ijen to reach peak of Ijen Crater ( it is depend on the your condition) and along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shady. Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters and enjoy best panorama of the lake of sulfate where reflects spectacular view in the surrounding walls to give the impression like unforgettable thing. The sulfur mining workers go down into the crater and climb back up by passing dangerous path on the edge of Ijen crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders.

This is really a dangerous & hard job. Here also, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the crater of Ijen as one of God’s amazing creation. Do not forget to take pictures in this area as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth. After enjoyed the natural scenery in Ijen crater and then around at 05:30 - 06:00 am you will descend the slope of Mount Ijen until vehicles parking area in the base camp of Paltuding where our vehicle is waiting to escort you back to your accommodation in Ijen crater area or we will continue our trip directly to reach your accommodation. in Sukamade Green Turtle Beach. It takes for about 3-4 hours driving by 4WD vehicle/ or jeep to reach Sukamade Beach by crossing rain forest and small rivers by our special vehicle adventures. Lunch will be served at local restaurant on the way to reach area of Sukamade turtle beach and on this date, you will have dinner & overnight stay in the guesthouse nearby and return to the beach at night for turtle spotting

Note for Ijen blue fire tours: If the weather is good enough and you are interested, you can visit Ijen crater at night time which will be started from your hotel / accommodation in Ijen area around at 00:30 am to do Ijen blue fire tours. The blue fire is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit). Those gases are directly originated from the magmatic chamber under the volcano. The flames can be up to 5 meters high; some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. It is the largest blue flame area in the world and one of the purest sulfur mines. If you are lucky enough, you can observe the Milky Way by using Smartphone apps in Ijen crater area during you do the ijen blue fire tours and this trip will be combined with the viewing of sunrise in Ijen crater area. Sukamade Turtle Beach: Sukamade beach is about 97 km to southwest of Banyuwangi. It is natural, quiet & beautiful place. Dutch discovered it in 1927. The 1200 hectare estate is an active plantation that produces rubber, coffee and cacao. Sukamade is the east Java Natural Resource Conservation which is in charge of the turtle’s perpetuation. A night adventure tour in Sukamade beach is an unforgettable trip and it become a popular tour package for tourist who will come to Banyuwangi - East Java. You will be guided by a staff from office of natural resource or a ranger to find sea turtles come to a shore to lay their eggs. If you are lucky enough with good weather, you may can see a female turtle lays more than one hundred eggs on the sandy beach. The female turtles usually start landing at 20:00 pm and return to the sea at 00:30 am

How you can reach Sukamade turtle beach: How you can reach Sukamade Turtle Beach: We will use jeep (4 WD vehicle) to reach this place & the road to Sukamade is worth for the people who want to get the real of adventure trip. It is one of best Java adventure trail for exploring southern coast of Banyuwangi in East Java. We will be crossing the rivers, exploring the rural landscapes & passing rainforest. Along the way to visit this place the visitors can stop at the beautiful place as known as Rajegwesi & the green bay (Teluk Hijau) with its beautiful cliff around. Here, also you will have a chance for a swim in green & clear water with white sandy beach. This place is virgin forest with natural view which is combined with white sandy beach where you can find it in the southern tip of Banyuwangi, East Java-Indonesia. 

Accommodation in Sukamade beach area: Condition here is far away from the city with the basic facilities, but more often for the people who have visited this place will recommend to others to visit Sukamade beach when they are in Banyuwangi and sometime, they intend to come back to get an experience exceedingly rare & unique. This place is far away from the city and it not crowded from the daily activities of the busy people. So, it is relaxation area for the client / people who want to get basic facilities once time on their life. On this day, you will overnight stay & having dinner at the lodge or guesthouse in Sukamade beach area

Day 03: Drive from Sukamade turtle beach to hotel in Kalibaru area (B)

After breakfast in Sukamade guesthouse, then spend the morning for exploring the surroundings of Sukamade. This is virgin area & without crowded, you may wanna go and a dip in crystal clear waters nearby river. Afterward, we will continue our trip to Kalibaru highland for about 3-4 hours driving by passing small cities, rural landscape, rice fields & plantations then upon arrival at Kalibaru highland, you will stay overnight and having dinner at Margoutomo Cottages or similar hotel where located in the middle of plantations (Coffee, Rubber & Cocoa plantations) with nice hill view

Day 04: Plantation tours & eco trip in Kalibaru then drive to hotel in Bromo (B)

Having breakfast at your hotel, then around at 08:00, you will have a chance to enjoy eco trip of plantations in Kalibaru area. On this tour's program, you will do short trekking through 09 hectares plantations with varieties of spices such as nutmeg, pepper, cinnamon, cocoa, coffee, cloves and coconuts. You may also discover the extraordinary attraction of a traditional making process of palm tree liquid into palm sugar. Not to forget for visiting the dairy farm. The tour can be arranged in the morning and takes about 1 hour until 1.5 hours. Afterward, around at 10:00am, we will continue our trip to Mt Bromo area for about 5-7 hours driving and upon arrival in Bromo, you will stay at Lava View Lodge Bromo or similar where overlooking to the actives volcano of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok and Mount Kursi around Tengger region for enjoyable stay before you do sunrise tours and Bromo climbing in the next early morning

Day 05: The sunrise tours Bromo and then drive to Malang or Surabaya   

Wake up in the early morning (around in the dawn time around at 03:30 am) and we will use a jeep which will be ready in the front of your hotel to start your trip to enjoy for Bromo sunrise tour which is located on the tengger region as known as a view point to see sunrise with its young volcanic including Mount Bromo and an active Mount Semeru as background. If it is not foggy, the sunlight when the sunrise will play light shadow which it come up from the sidelines of the mountains and it will give impression like unforgettable thing on mind & heart as a creation from the God. You can choose one of the places to see sunrise in Mount Bromo such as:

Mount Pananjakan or Gunung Penanjakan is known well as the best place for view point of Bromo Sunrise in Tengger region. Mt Penanjakan is a major viewing point for all tourists who visited Mount Bromo to enjoy sunrise tours Bromo. It means this place will be crowded on the season of holiday or on the weekend

King Kong hill or Bukit King Kong: If you visit to Mount Bromo, on weekends, or holidays, so at Bromo very crowded with visitors. I suggest you go to the other viewpoint (king kong hill) is a good place to see the sunrise time and Bromo crater, on the an altitude of about 2600 meters

Love hill of Bromo or Bukit Cinta Bromo: is an alternative place to see the stunning beauty for sunrise time on the Mount Bromo. Just like King Kong hill, the spot of love hill is also less well-known than the main spot named "the view point 1" or Mount Penanjakan (the 1st summit climbing), where the most clear view of the sunrise on Mount Bromo can be seen from this spot. However, if you got that Mount Penanjakan is too crowded of other tourists, you can choose Love Hill as a good alternative besides King Kong hill

After a short break & take pictures, our jeep will bring us to continue our trip to reach the parking area for 4WD vehicle (jeep) by passing the amazing view on the slope of Mount Bromo, then from parking area you are required to cross the seas of sand on the slope of Mount Bromo by horse riding or on foot (it is optional) till reach to the stairs up (more than 250 stairs) on the bottom of Mount Bromo which it will lead you to reach to the peak of Mout Bromo. After a short break & take pictures on the top on Mount Bromo with amazing view of Bromo crater, we will go back to the hotel by passing the same route as your have done to reach to the top of Mount Bromo. Afterward, you will spend your time for breakfast, take shower, loading your luggage in to the vehicle and then we will continue our trip to transfer you out back to Surabaya or Malang area as your last destination for this trip and it will take about 3-5 hours driving with a private car with AC (it is depend on the traffic situation).
