Tour itinerary
Day 01: Bali to Ijen crater hotel, Banyuwangi

  • Our staff will pick you up from your hotel or airport in Bali then take you to the most western tip of Bali for about 3-5 hours driving by private car with AC to reach Gilimanuk ferry port in the most western tip of Bali Island, and then upon arrival time in Gilimanuk, we will proceed to take a ferry to cross Bali strait for about 1-1.5 hours to reach Ketapang ferry port in Banyuwangi which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island. The trip goes through the rural landscapes of West Bali and in the afternoon, we will arrive in Ketapang ferry port – Banyuwangi, East Java. Upon your arrival in Ketapang ferry port – Banyuwangi, we will escort you directly to your hotel or accommodation in Ijen Crater area or if the weather is good enough on your arrival time in Ketapang ferry port, you will be escorted directly to your accommodation / hotel in Ijen area. On this date you will overnight stay at hotel or accommodation in Ijen crater area before you enjoy Ijen crater tour in the next morning
     
  • Note and read carefully: Today, if you still have enough time with good weather during your trip from Bali, you may stop at Labuhan Lalang traditional harbor which is located in the area of West Bali National Park to cross Bali strait to reach Java Island with a traditional wooden boat and enjoy optional program with extra cost to do snorkeling tour activities in Menjangan Island, Tabuhan Island, Bangsring under water and then to Grand Watudodol beach Banyuwangi which is located in the most eastern tip of Java Island and afterward we will continue to drive with a private car to reach your accommodation in area of Ijen crater - Banyuwangi for overnight stay. 

Day 02: Ijen climbing with Ijen blue fire tour and to Yogya

  • Wake up in the dawn time (around at 04:00 am) and then you will meet with our staff at the lobby of your hotel to drive to reach to the Paltuding by passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining rain forest in Java Island with giant ferns, plants & big trees. This journey takes approximately 1 hour from your hotel by private car. Paltuding is well known as post 1 (base camp) or starting point for Ijen expedition tour and climbing or trekking tour activities to the slope of Mount Ijen. Arrive in the parking in Paltuding which is located on the slope Mount Ijen, approximately 1 until 1.5 - 2 hours will be required to ascend slope of mount Ijen to reach peak of Ijen Crater ( it is depend on the your condition) and along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air and shady
     
  • Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters and enjoy best panorama of the lake of sulfate where reflects spectacular view in the surrounding walls to give the impression like doom. The sulfur mining workers go down into the crater and climb back up by passing dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders.  This is really a dangerous & hard job. Here also, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the crater of Ijen as one of God’s amazing creation. Do not forget to take pictures in this area as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth. After enjoyed the natural scenery in Ijen crater and then around at 05:30 - 06:00 am you will descend the slope of Mount Ijen until vehicles parking area in the base camp of Paltuding where our vehicle is waiting to escort you back to your hotel or accommodation in Ijen crater area or continue our trip to reach train station in Banyuwangi area to take a train from Banyuwangi to Yogyakarta in Central Java at 11:28 am – 23:47 pm and your Bali Ijen tour package finished
     
  • Note for Ijen blue fire tour: If the weather is good enough and the Ijen officer allow to do Ijen night climbing, you can visit Ijen crater at night time which will be started from your hotel / accommodation in Ijen area around at 00:30 am to do Ijen blue fire tours. The blue fire is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit). Those gases are directly originated from the magmatic chamber under the volcano. The flames can be up to 5 meters high; some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. It is the largest blue flame area in the world and one of the purest sulfur mines.  If you are lucky enough, you can observe the Milky Way by using Smartphone apps in Ijen crater area during you do the ijen blue fire tours and this trip will be combined with the viewing of sunrise in Ijen crater area.
