Start from Bali to Bromo 2D
- Special overland trip from Bali to Mount Bromo in East Java and back to Bali by passing Gilimanuk ferry port in the westermost tip of Bali to take a ferry to cross Bali strait to reach Ketapang ferry port - Banyuwangi in the easternmost tip of Java Island and drive to Mount Bromo for Bromo sunrise tours and watch the best sunrise time at the Sunrise Viewpoint (Penanjakan, Kingkong Hill, Love Hill, or Seruni Point) and then do Bromo climbing or trekking tours in Tengger region, East Java and afterward, from Bromo back to Bali
- It takes about 4 hours driving from your hotel around Bali area to Gilimanuk Ferry Port, and then 1,5 hours to cross Bali Strait to reach Ketapang Ferry Port in Banyuwangi, East Java. You will carry on your trip by car from Banyuwangi to your hotel around Bromo for about 6-7 hours. On your way, you will see the view of Baluran National Park, Bali Strait, and Madura Strait. When you see monkeys on the both sides of the road around Baluran, please do not feed them otherwise the monkeys will be aggressive and there will be a chance that they will be hit by vehicles.
Tour itinerary:
Day 01: Bali to Mount Bromo in East Java for Bromo Tours
Around at 08:00, our driver will pick up at your hotel in Bali (Please let us know your hotel detail), then we will use a private car / minivan which is completed with airconditioned to reach Gilimanuk Harbour, Jembrana Regency for about 3-4 hours driving. Afterward, we will take a ferry for about 1-1.5 hours to reach Ketapang Harbour – Banyuwangi, East Java. Upon arrival in Ketapang ferry port, we will continue our trip to Mount Bromo for about 5-7 hours driving with possibility of stopping for having lunch at a local restaurant. After having lunch, we will continue our trip to reach Mount Bromo area & upon your arrival in Mt. Bromo, you will stay at the Cafe Lava Bromo, Lava View Lodge, SM Bromo Hotel or any other hotels around Bromo area in Tengger region for your accommodation before you enjoy the sunrise tours and Mount Bromo climbing in the next early morning.
Day 02: Sunrise tours - Bromo climbing & back to Bali
Wake up in the early morning (around at 03:00 am in the dawn time) and we will use a jeep which will be ready in the front of your hotel to start your trip to enjoy for Bromo sunrise tour which is located on the tengger region as known as a view point to see sunrise with its young volcanioes including Mount Bromo and Mount Semeru as the background. If it is not foggy, you will be mesmerised by the amazing view when the sun rises from mountains and horizon in front of your eyes. You can choose one of the places to see sunrise in Mt Bromo area such as:
- Mount Pananjakan or Gunung Penanjakan is known well as the highest viewpoint (2,770 masl) of Bromo Sunrise in Tengger region. Mt Penanjakan is a major viewing point for all tourists who visited Mount Bromo to enjoy sunrise tours Bromo. It means this place will be crowded on the season of holiday or on the weekend
- King Kong hill or Bukit King Kong: If you visit to Mount Bromo, on weekends, or holidays, so at Bromo very crowded with visitors. I suggest you go to the other viewpoint (king kong hill) is a good place to see the sunrise time and Bromo crater, on the an altitude of about 2600 meters above sea level or it is the second highest viewpoint. It is also a viewpoint which has the widest area amongst all
- Love hill of Bromo or Bukit Cinta Bromo: is an alternative place to see the stunning beauty for sunrise time on the Mount Bromo. Just like King Kong hill, the spot of love hill is also less well-known than the main spot named "the view point 1" or Mount Penanjakan (the 1st summit climbing), where the most clear view of the sunrise on Mount Bromo can be seen from this spot. However, if you got that Mount Penanjakan is too crowded of other tourists, you can choose Love Hill as a good alternative besides King Kong hill
- Seruni Point: This one is located just right below Kingkong Hill. This is the lowest viewpoint but it has the same view of Tengger Caldera as what you can see on Penanjakan or Kingkong Hill. Seruni Point also has a glass bridge for visitors to enjoy the scenery of the sunrise and also Mount Bromo, Batok, Semeru, etc.
After a short break & take pictures, our jeep will bring us to the parking area for 4WD vehicle (jeep) by passing the amazing view on the slope of Mount Bromo, then from parking area you are required to cross the seas of sand on the slope of Mount Bromo by horse riding (it is optional) or on foot till reach to the stairs up (more than 250 stairs) on the bottom of Mount Bromo which it will lead you to reach to the peak of Mount Bromo (2,329 masl) to see the spectacular view of Bromo Crater.
After a short break & take pictures on the top of Mount Bromo, around at 07:30 am we will go back to hotel by passing the same routes as your have done and when you arrive at your hotel or accommodation near Bromo, you will spend your time for taking a bath, breakfast and loading your luggage into the vehicle, and afterward we escort you back to reach the Ketapang Ferry Port in Banyuwangi, East Java. On this road, we will needs around 6-7 hours driving by passing rural landscapes, small cities, rice fields, plantations & skirting the white sandy beach in Pasir Putih Beach, Situbondo. Upon your arrival in Ketapang ferry port, we will take a ferry for approximately 1-1,5 hours to cross Bali strait to reach the Gilimanuk ferry port in Jembrana Regency, Bali and then when you arrive there at Gilimanuk ferry port, you will use another private car with a driver from Bali to escort you for final journey and drop to the your hotel in Bali area (Lovina, Pemuteran, Ubud, Sanur, Kuta, Jimbaran & Nusadua area) as your last destination.
